Since releasing her two EPs, Truthfully andBlack Panther Ayanna has toured the UK and Europe extensively, and was nominated for her first MOBO award in 2012.
Ayanna features on nonclassical’s 2018 release Outside the Lines vol. 2 performing her own composition Rise Up Cello Cadenza.
Ayanna Witter-Johnson is a singer, songwriter, cellist and composer, using her music to fuse classical, alternative and R&B. Ayanna has toured both as a soloist and alongside Anoushka Shankar and Courtney Pine as a featured vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. As a composer she has had work commissioned by the LSO Brass Ensemble and Bath Festival, and has collaborated on orchestrations and original scores for work in the UK and New York.
