The safety of our audience, artists and staff always comes first. We are constantly reviewing the situation regarding Covid-19 in line with government guidelines and will take extra measures to keep everybody safe where necessary. • SYMPTOMS
  Please don't come to our events if you have Covid symptoms or believe you may have been exposed to infection. If you are suffering from Covid symptoms, or fear you may be an infection risk, we will offer you a full refund on your ticket.
• DOOR POLICY
  You must show a negative PCR or lateral flow test result on the door to gain entry to the venue (within 48hrs of event). Log test results online to receive your certification and bring this with you to the venue. There will be no exceptions.
• MASKS
  Our staff will be strongly encouraged to wear masks during events. They are doing this because masks work, reducing contribution to the risk of droplet transmission. No one will force you to wear a mask, you can be kind and thoughtful and choose to wear one when it isn't inconvenient. If you are vulnerable, we strongly recommend that you wear a mask if you are able to.
• CLEANING
  We will be deep cleaning the building regularly. There will be additional sanitising units around the building, and we ask you to please play your part in keeping the building clean from contact risk by regularly washing your hands and using the sanitisers provided.

Wheelchair access is available to all areas of the venue apart from the rear mezzanine. An extra large toilet is accessible for wheelchair users. Please send any access queries to sophie@nonclassical.co.uk

Blasio Kavuma

Blasio Kavuma is a composer, arranger and curator based in London. He studied at Bristol University under Michael Ellison, receiving a MA in composition. He is now an active collaborator and curator across numerous platforms, including film, visual art and performance art. His work has been performed by ensembles and soloists in the UK, US and Japan, and his music has featured on BBC Radio 3. His arrangements have been published by Zig-Zag education.

Drawing equally from classical and popular musical traditions, he has developed a soundworld full of rhythmic vitality and stylistic versatility, and is committed to championing forward-thinking music that is accessible to a wide audience.

Tom Mason

After teenage years as a classical violinist, Tom studied jazz bass at the Royal Academy of Music and New England Conservatory in Boston. Since then, he has worked as double bassist and bass guitarist, known for adeptly crossing genres. Equally at home performing traditional Argentine tango as producing jungle drum & bass, his career has seen touring with folk-pop legend Donovan, performing in Havana with Cuban vocalist Daymé Arocena and appearing on BBC’s ‘Later with Jools Holland’ with sitarist Anoushka Shankar. Other performance and recording credits include Robert Mitchell, Questlove, Lizz Wright, Goldie, Mark Ronson, Ghostpoet, Lily Allen, Angelique Kidjo, Jonathan Jeremiah and The Heritage Orchestra.

Suitman Jungle

Suitman Jungle is a creation of percussionist Marc Pell. The idea behind it is a man in a suit playing live jungle music. He uses his voice, plays a standing cocktail drum kit and utilises live electronics such as an SPD-SX and guitar pedals. Suitman Jungle is Director of RBS (Regional Bassline Services), which provides a wide variety of sub and mid range bassline services internationally.

Cecilia Bignall

Cellist and composer Cecilia Bignall has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician across the UK and Europe, including at the Oslo Opera House, the Sziget Festival in Budapest, St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Wigmore Hall, the International House of Music in Moscow, Kings Place Festival and St John’s Smith Square. She has been broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 during ‘Sound Frontiers’ Festival at the Southbank Centre, and was featured on Proms Extra in 2016 performing music by Gabriel Prokofiev, along with the composer himself.

Cecilia regularly performs contemporary music and jazz, including improvisations with electronics, and has played with contemporary groups such as ensemble x.y and the Riot Ensemble.

Decibella

Decibella is a DJ and Producer from London UK, playing Jungle that makes you move and makes you feel.

Captivated by the sounds of Garage, Hardcore and Jungle via pirate radio stations and rave tape packs, Decibella found her home on the dance-floors of One Nation, Telepathy and Raindance where she began her underground musical education.

Her DJ sets capture the authentic sounds of Jungle, across its broad spectrum of forms. With a soulful yet rude girl style and refined selection, even though she's pushing the freshest dubs and releases from the scenes new wave of contemporary artists and labels, her taste is infused with a revered nod to the original sound and vibe of the genre. Describing her approach to DJing and production she says 'Jungle to me is this beautiful mixture of darkness and light and of softness and toughness, I always try to balance these elements in my DJ sets and when I'm making music in the studio.'

Chris Inperspective

Christopher Walton (aka Chris Inperspective) is a producer, DJ and host to innovative dance nights. Chris’s label Inperspective Records seeks to deliver original and experimental drum & bass music, working with emerging and established artists at the cutting edge of the scene. Chris has performed at major nights and festivals, including Renegade Hardware nights, Progression Sessions, Swerve, Noir and Traffic events, and Wireless and Boomtown festivals. He was instrumental in organising the first ever UK drum & bass vinyl market, Clashmouth, and has broadcasted with Pure Vision radio station and Hoxton FM. Passionate about creating an arena for free and innovative expression within Drum and Bass music, Chris is founder of the experimental ‘Technicality Nights’. Since the first iteration in 2003 Technicality Nights are now a staple in the D'n'B scene, with nights regularly hosted across the UK, Europe and USA. Chris is founder of the Black Junglist Alliance – an organisation that proudly showcases the ongoing achievements of Black artists from the world of jungle and drum & bass.
