What is British identity? And what is that in music? Fretwork have colllaborated with composers Orlando Gough and Gabriel Prokofiev to find out, and they have enlisted the help of other composers to produce a tapestry of sounds from these islands. Each composer has taken music seen as quintessentially British and transformed the material through the medium of viol consort, aided by computer beats, loops and electronics.

Napalm Death, Edward Elgar, Sugababes, William Lawes, Annie Lennox, The Clash and Radiohead are all mashed together in arrangements that will challenge and delight.
