Noise, turntablism, field recording and sound collage techniques come together in a night celebrating experimental sound practices from Black and South Asian creatives. Experience the boundaries of sound manipulation bend and break with surround sound audio.

Disruptive Frequencies is the result of a wider research project: Exploring Cultural Diversity in Experimental Sound, hosted at the Sound/Image Research Centre, University of Greenwich. The project focuses on Black and South Asian artists, challenging institutional whiteness, racist biases and lack of visibility and access for artists working with experimental sound and electronic music.

About Exploring Cultural Diversity in Experimental Sound  

This AHRC funded project aims to challenge institutional whiteness in experimental sound practice by investigating the creative identities of contemporary Black and South Asian composers working in the UK.
