Change Ringing @ LimeWharf ANNEX
Change Ringing @ LimeWharf is an immersive exhibition and contemporary music night on the theme of climate change. Change Ringing forms around a sculpture incorporating six bronze bells, whose shapes and sizes mathematically correspond to increasing global temperatures during the 20th Century. Staged in LimeWharf's cavernous new Annex space, Change Ringing will be an exploration, through sound, vision, and word, of the most pertinent and pressing issue of our time.
Change Ringing @ LimeWharf has been curated by composer-artist duo Laurence Osborn and Peter Shenai in association with Nonclassical and LSO Soundhub.
ON THE NIGHT:
~ Repeat performance of Laurence Osborn's 'Change Ringing', for string orchestra and six bronze bells cast by Peter Shenai.
~ World premières of brand new pieces from composers Jonathan Cole, Arne Gieshoff, Edwin Hillier, and Aaron Holloway-Nahum, all scored for string instruments and the Change Ringing bells.
