Nonclassical Monthly Club nights feature the very best new contemporary, experimental and electronic music.
Our December event will mark the launch of our Nonclassical Associate Composers, where four vibrant young classical composers will be offered mentoring, performance and commissioning opportunities, as well as exposure that is too often reserved for mainstream singer/songwriters. The four Associate Composers are:
- Freya Waley-Cohen
- Beni Giles
- Charlotte Harding
- Laurence Osborn
In celebration of the launch, the night has been curated by one of our new Associate Composers - Freya Waley-Cohen. We welcome the Jørgensen Trio, Duo Bayanello, clarinettist Matthew Scott and percussionist James Larter for an evening exploring dance music from other cultures with works by Sally Beamish Music and Kaija Saariaho, and also features music from our new Associate Composers. The night will be completed by sets from Nonclassical DJs.
