We are excited to take on four Associate Composers to support and develop over the coming year: Beni Giles, Charlotte Harding, Laurence Osborn and Freya Waley-Cohen.
Our monthly night in The Victoria, Dalston, provides a fantastic platform to showcase their music. So far we've had gigs curated by Beni Giles (in November 2016, where his pieces were performed by Kit Downes, Tom Challenger and Tre Voci) and Laurence Osborn (who composed the accordion music performed by Bartosz Glowacki in December 16).
Charlotte Harding and Freya Waley-Cohen will be curating our 10 May and 12 July events respectively. Keep an eye on the What's On page for further details.
We also commissioned an orchestral piece from Charlotte Harding for Street Orchestra of London to perform on the debut tour in June 2016, and have commissioned Freya Waley-Cohen to write one for the upcoming tour in April 2017.
