Experimental electronic group Langham Research Centre, who have recently released their new album Tape Works Vol. 1 were featured on BBC Radio 6, where Elizabeth Alker spoke with Langham Research member Iain Chambers to find out more about the group themselves.

The group of BBC Radio 3 producers started experimenting with tape just before the quick transition between the analogue and digital era, as tape and analogue were about to leave the BBC forever. Iain reveals how they first began experimenting with different sounds they could create and record by chucking 40 ping pong balls down a 10th floor stairwell and playing with squeaky doors.
