In the interest of containing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting artists, staff and attendees, we have decided to postpone Blasio Kavuma's curated event – originally scheduled for this Wednesday 18 March – until later this year. We will announce the exact date and details as soon as we can.
We’re already seeing the knock-on effect that Coronavirus is having on artists and freelancers through many cancelled events, so in the meantime we encourage you to:
Support the artists who were scheduled to perform at the event in any way you can – we've linked to their websites below.
Continue to support Nonclassical and its artists (and entertain yourself during your self-isolation) by purchasing music from our website – we'd heartily recommend checking out Outside the Lines, Vol. 3, which features a gorgeous piano piece by Blasio.
Take a look at our other releases, including the last handful of copies of Fieldwave, our recent cassette compiling contemporary artists working with field recordings in their compositions.
Consider supporting our continued artistic programme. The most effective way to make an impact on Nonclassical’s work can be a simple donation – whether it’s a regular one or a one-off, every donation helps us to deliver our mission. If you tick the Gift Aid box, we can also claim an extra 25% on top of the amount you donate from HMRC to increase your donation.
Once again, we're sorry for any inconvenience caused – we were really excited for a very special gig! But it's important to stay safe in these strange times. We look forward to seeing you all soon.
